One of the new players in the computer enthusiast market is IKONIK. This Taiwanese company is working on a new expensive aluminum case that will be released later this summer; the Ra X10-series. The Ra X10 features a whopping 13 fans and if that's not enough cooling you can also get the Ra X10 LIQUID which features a liquid cooling kit.

The Ra X10 is made out of 1mm aluminum and will be available in black and silver. The case measures 220mm x 572mm x 606mm (W x H x D) and features six 5.25" drive bays (incl. converter kit for 3.5" external devices), ten 3.5" drive bays and eight PCI expansion slots. Inside the case are dual 120mm front fans, one 140mm rear fan, 80mm rear bottom fan and a two 80mm quad side fan sets. Hopefully these fans aren't too loud but the specifications indicate IKONIK thought about noise as the HDD bays and PSU railing have rubber strips to reduce vibrational noise. The Ra X10 has tool-free features for the HDDs and optical drives and features washable dust filters. The top I/O panel has two e-SATA ports, four USB 2.0 ports, one IEEE 1394 port and audio & mic ports.
For easy access Ra X10-series is equipped with a lockable ‘Lambo side panels’. After opening these panels – users will notice the extraordinary thermal design. With 13 silent fans, it is designed for a ‘FANtastic’ cooling solution. Essentially any users can assemble their own with the Ra X10 series. Even users with ‘Two-left hands’ can install their favorite components easily. Installing the mainboard is also a piece of cake with the removable MB-tray. As easy as getting ‘Take-out’ food.

Another special feature of the IKONIK Ra X10 series is SIM (System Intelligent Management):
IKONIK’s System Intelligent Management (SIM) is an innovative solution to monitor and control the performance of the PC. This performance solution is independently developed by IKONIK’s engineers and belongs solely to IKONIK. It allows pc-enthusiast and gamers to enjoy a system of their own preference. SIM will detect the temperature inside the case and monitor the fan speed. In order to optimize the systems performance, users are able to adjust the speed of the fans individually.

SIM does not detect just one temperature value, but a total of six values. It has six different temperature sensors to detect any component inside the system. Users decide on their own which component they want to monitor. For example they can connect one of the sensors to the graphic card. When the graphic card gets too warm, users can increase the speed of the fan near the graphic card.

SIM is an all-in-one thermal solution. Unlike other existing thermal solutions, SIM is not limited to a certain platform. It works with ALL industry available platform and component. Users are not limited when they want to buy their favorite components. They do not have to worry about any SIM-certification. Any component is compatible with SIM and it communicates through an USB-interface.

SIM allows users to set the value up-front, so if the temperature reach a certain limit, SIM will warn the users and automatically will adjust the fan speed. Users can also manually adjust the values. SIM also has an indicator for liquid cooling. It will detect the liquid level for those that are using a liquid cooling system.
