FUD Zilla has some info about AMD's upcoming 45nm Athlon X2 processors, this will include the Athlon X2 250 with a clockspeed of 3GHz in June. This Regor based chip will have a TDP of 65W.
Regor SOI 45nm dual-core will also get at least two energy efficient editions, slower clocked parts that will end up with a 45W TDP. Intel already has its dual-cores at clocks up to 3.33GHz and this should be enough for Intel to keep the performance crown in this segment, but we do believe that price per performance ratio will be on AMD’s side.
