
The Radeon R9 285 will compete against NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 760, it will launch on September 2 for $249. According to AMD, you can expect performance gains of up to 15 percent versus the GeForce GTX 760 in Battlefield 4 running at 2560 x 1440 pixels.
This new DX12 ready card is based on the 28nm Tonga GPU, it features 1792 GCN 1.1 stream processors clocked at up to 918MHz, 112 TMUs, 32 ROPs, and a 256-bit memory bus. The default memory capacity is 2GB GDDR5 clocked at 5500MHz but there will also be models with 4GB GDDR5. The TDP of the Radeon R9 285 is rated at 190W.
