I usually refrain from posting a lot of server news but it's a slow news days so here's a piece about one of Intel's upcoming Xeon chips.

According to rumors on Asian tech sites, Intel is planning to release a 5.1GHz Broadwell-EP based Xeon processor sometime later this year. This chip would be the highest-clocked CPU ever from Intel and the first stock CPU to offer a frequency of over 5GHz. It's believed to be part of the E5-2600 v4 series and reportedy has 10MB L3 cache memory.

The source also claims this chip will have a TDP of 165W.
