ASUS, purveyor of quality motherboards and graphics card, never fails to jump on the product refresh bandwagon at the earliest opportunity. Refreshes give the company due licence to re-market a proven technology, thereby pushing up sales. Intel's decision to raise the Pentium 4's FSB to 266MHz (1066MHz quad pumped) is a case in point. There's only one processor currently available that supports this frequency, the vastly expensive 3.46GHz Extreme Edition, yet it hasn't stopped ASUS and a bunch of leading motherboard manufacturers from releasing and promoting updated i925X boards that natively support this £650 monster
